UMRR Platform


UMRR-07xx Universal Medium Range Radar:
This type of sensor is able to measure range, speed and angle of multiple objects simultaneously. It provides a hardware (antenna) and software selectable field of view, true object separation capability in range and Doppler, unrestricted operation when stationary or when moving at any speed. It has a small size, two different housings are available. Stand-alone or network operation is possible.UMRR_small_radom_screw

The UMRR was designed to be a versatile platform sensor. A set of different antennae are available, allowing you to select your desired field of view. The detection software can be configured to meet most requirements regarding min. and max. range, min. and max. speed, measurement time.

You  may be interested in buying the platform product off-the-shelf, but it is also possible to prepare a highly specialized, fully customized derivative development.

Example configuration for short range applications:
   - Pulsed Mode.
   - Max. range 22m.
   - Min. range 0.6m (no relative motion target to sensor, presence detection < 0.6m is provided)
   - Min. range 0.3m (relative motion target to sensor)
   - Speed interval from -20m/s (closing) to +20m/s (opening).
   - Angle interval +-45° (Azimuth) x +-6° (Elevation).
   - Cycle time 65 ... 110ms, depending on mode.
   - Size: 9.4 x 7.8 x 3.1 cm (W x H x D).
   - Weight: 300g (Al body), 250g (Mg body).

Example configuration for long range applications:
   - FMCW Mode.
   - Max. range 240m.
   - Min. range 1.5m (no relative motion target to sensor, presence detection < 1.5m is provided)
   - Min. range 0.5m (relative motion target to sensor)
   - Speed interval from -140m/s (closing) to +70m/s (opening).
   - Angle interval +-10° (Azimuth) x +-4.5° (Elevation).
   - Cycle time 40ms.
   - Size: 10.5 x 9.4 x 3.4 cm (W x H x D).
   - Weight: 335g (Al body), 270g (Mg body).
