UMRR-07xx Stop & Go Dual Sensor System:IconACCSG02
This type of radar system is a dual-mode, dual sensor setup. It is optimized for 70m medium range detection, the azimuth field of view is selected to cover the full width of the car, beginning directly at the car’s front bumper fascia. It covers 3 lanes, the outer limits of the field of view are +45° and -45° from the left and right front corner of the car respectively, given that the mounting position and pointing direction are appropriately selected. Detection algorithms, tracking, lane prediction and object-to-lane mapping are performed in the dual sensor system. No extra ECU is required. The sensors may be used in master-slave setup (standalone Stop & Go system) or as two slaves (sensor satellites, intended for sensor fusion) reporting to a (probably already existing) ACC or other data fusion system. An object-to-follow is not automatically selected. A longitudinal vehicle control algorithm is also
not included but may be implemented on user request.

A single sensor system is also available. Except for the reduced field of view (with respect to the dual sensor system) there are no disadvantages or restrictions regarding performance.

UMRR-07xx Stop & Go Individual Sensor:
The individual sensor represents a dual mode (FMCW and pulsed) operated derivative of the UMRR platform. Including sub-modes of the principle operational modes there are overall four modes, specialized to handle critical situations:
   - Low speed following (requiring an adequate separation capability for closely spaced reflectors).
   - Early cut-in detection (appropriate field of view).
   - Narrow lane handling (resolve symmetrical reflector situations).
   - Automated go function (reliable pedestrian detection in gap).

Please find below a demo video of the dual sensor system setup, demonstrating the principal field of view.
Demo Video (45.8MB, avi).

Technical Data:
   - Range up to 70m (max. 120m).
   - Min. range 0.6m (no relative motion target to sensor, presence detection < 0.6m is provided)
   - Min. range 0.3m (relative motion target to sensor)
   - Speed interval from -500km/h (closing) to +250km/h (opening).
   - Angle interval +-35° (Azimuth) x +-6° (Elevation).
   - Cycle time 30 ... 110ms, depending on mode.
