Drive Recorder II The Drive Recorder II software is a powerful tool for visualization, monitoring, recording and playback of CAN-bus data and video. It is designed to receive object lists from radar or other types of sensors. Drive Recorder II comes with a free user-programmable CAN-specification. This allows for the interpretation of CAN bus data of any kind. Usually multi target range and speed sensors “pack” their data in an object list using a certain coding on the CAN bus. Every sensor manufacturer uses its own way to “pack” those object lists. The Drive Recorder II software is able to interpret them all, up to 16 different sensors at a time.
Furthermore, a digital video can be recorded synchronously with the data messages from multiple CAN-buses. All recordings can also be played back to the CAN-bus.
The digital video (on a DV digital tape) is always kept synchronous to the CAN data. It is also possible to automatically extract digital video sequences to files on your PC. You may then play them live on your computer screen (see picture above) together with the CAN data. The tape is then no longer necessary. The software runs on all standard windows platforms and uses off-the-shelf components (see below).
Both a video recorder plus separate camera + lens or a camcorder solution are possible.
Available for operating systems Windows 2000/XP.
Using DriveRecII, with a few mouse clicks demo videos can automatically be created, please see some examples below. Demo Video of example configuration for ACC (46.6MB, avi). Demo Video of example configuration for Stop&Go (45.8MB, avi). Demo Video of example configuration for Blind Spot Detection (45.2MB, avi).
