Area Surveillance: The UMRR radar technology can be used for long range area surveillance. In the example below, an airfield landing strip of 800m length is equipped with 6 radars, each having a range of 200m. Any reflector - stationary or moving - can be detected, and precise position data are measured. All sensors operate in a network, a central unit (example here: PC system) remote controls all units. The advantage of the radar system is its robust function in all weather conditions. The system can also be combined with cameras.

Technical Data (in this example): - Range up to 240m. - Min. Range 1.5m. - Speed interval +-600km/h. - Angle interval: +-5° (Azimuth) x +-4.5° (Elevation). - Cycle Time: 40ms - Size: 10.5 x 9.4 x 3.4 cm (W x H x D). - Weight: 335g.

Sensor Network: Through its CAN interface, the communication between all sensors and the central units is established. Sensor fusion and alarm processing is located in the controller’s room.
