Smart Intersection Test in Belarus

smartmicro’s Russian partner, Sorb Group LLC, recently finished the first phase of smart intersection tests before the start of the second European Games in Minsk, Belarus. The premium product, the UMRR-0C Type 42, was tested for 8 lanes and the basic product, UMRR-11 Type 45, was tested for 4 lanes (including a left-turn lane).

During the tests, both radars performed strongly. Both radar classes were rated the same as inductive loops with an accuracy of 5. Hence, our radar sensors can be used in Minsk for adoptive intersections (RMS). While the Type 42 achieved an impeccable result having detected all 177 objects with an error count of 0% during a time of approximately 4 minutes and 30 seconds, the Type 45 also achieved an outstanding result of an error count of only 1.3%.

Proving to be the perfect match between price and performance, the basic product class’ error count was only at 3 objects during a period of approximately 5 minutes and 30 seconds.
